SUPER IMPORTANT & HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PROFESSIONAL ADVICE TO EXCEL AT

YOUR WORK DAY, MAKE YOUR BOSS HAPPY, AND SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND

SCHEDULING

📅 Use the first 15 minutes of the day to check your calendar and to-do list.

🍽️ Take an hour for lunch every day. No meetings, just eating – and maybe also walking, TikToking, erranding, and napping.

⛔ Block every Friday afternoon – catch up on projects, plan ahead to next week, or focus on an added value opportunity that you’ve been wanting to get to.

🌴 Take vacations. Check your work calendar to ensure minimal conflicts so you can completely disconnect. If there is a conflict, make sure you are setting teammates up for success in advance of your absence.

📓 When in meetings, take notes of key decisions, questions, and next steps.

💌 Include an objective statement, meeting lead, and required attendees for all invites.

TEAMWORK

➰ Keep teammates in the loop about what projects you are working on.

❓ When delegating projects or asking questions of your team, share what you need, why you need it, any considerations, and a due date.

🏊 Stay in your own swim lane to help prevent duplicative work and burn out.

🙋 If you have free time, raise your hand to help others with their to-do list (& try out a new swim lane for a bit).

🤔 Be curious, connect dots, share learnings.

👀 Always have your internal team review client emails before sending as a double check.

Confirm receipt on emails of projects you are leading within a day with any follow-up questions included.

🫶 Not sure if you’re doing the above correctly? Ask your team!
